How to Remove Zedo From a Mac

Zedo is a tracking cookie that stores information about your Internet habits and then uses the information to display pop-up advertising targeted to your specific tastes. Cookies are small pieces of information that your computer uses to exchange data with a website's server. Remove the tracking cookie from your Mac by employing your Web browser's security features, and make it a regular habit every couple of weeks to keep them from tracking your habits.

Instructions

1 Open the "Safari" browser application by clicking the "Safari" icon on the dock.

2 Click the "Safari" button on the menu bar and click "Preferences" in the drop-down menu.

3 Click the "Security" tab and click "Show Cookies." Click the "Remove All" button to remove the Zedo cookie from your Mac. Alternately, you can search through the list of cookies for the "Zedo" entry. Click the entry to select it, and click "Remove" to individually remove the Zedo cookie.
